Remove an App from Your BlackBerry PlayBook

Nothing lasts forever, including what was once an ineluctable fascination with a new app. You have two ways to remove an app from your BlackBerry PlayBook. The first keeps an electronic safety net in case you change your mind, while the second is more permanent.
Current versions of the operating system for the BlackBerry PlayBook don’t allow you to manually delete system apps, including the browser, music, pictures, videos, and other software provided by RIM.
Here’s how to remove an app but retain a backup plan:
  1. Launch BlackBerry App World.
You’ll need to have an active connection to the Internet.
  2. Tap My World at the top of the screen.
You’ll see a list of all currently installed applications. Swipe up from the bottom if the app you want to remove is not visible on the first screen.
  3. Tap the Delete button next to the application you want to remove.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
Apps you delete this way from My World can be reinstalled later. Just reload BlackBerry App World and tap My World; then tap the Uninstalled button; find a deleted app and then tap Reinstall.

  2. Tap the All button.
  3. Press and hold your finger on any icon to enter edit mode.
  4. Tap the trash can below the app you want to delete.
  5. Confirm the deletion.
